The independent EOR analyst the market never had.
We audit every Employer of Record provider on the planet — +150 of them and counting — then tell you which one to use, when not to use any at all, and how to escape the one you're stuck with.

Somebody had to be the independent one.
Hiring internationally used to mean setting up entities, hiring local lawyers, and burning six months of operations. Then the EOR market exploded — +150 providers competing for the same workload, with pricing that varies 3.5× for the same service, contracts with hidden setup fees, and ranking sites that are all secretly owned by one provider or another. We started Compareor because nobody else was going to. Every "Top 10 EOR" list we read was either a vendor's content marketing or a comparison site getting paid per featured slot. The independent advisor that should have existed — the consumer-reports-style operation for the EOR category — didn't. So we built it. We audit every active EOR provider quarterly, we publish what we find, and we'll switch you off your bad provider in 2–3 weeks without a payroll disruption. That's the entire business.
Four things, nothing else.
We're not a SaaS platform. We're not a marketplace with a thousand workflows. We do four things in roughly this order of time spent — and each one ladders up to the same goal: get you on the right EOR contract for what you're hiring.
EOR matchmaking
Tell us where you're hiring and what you need. We give you a ranked shortlist of vetted EOR providers within 24 hours — pricing, country coverage, compliance depth, support quality. Providers in the shortlist that pay us a referral fee appear right next to providers that don't, scored on the same criteria.
EOR migration
Stuck on a provider that's overcharging, slow, or non-compliant? We move you. Contract audit, exit negotiation, new-provider onboarding, employee transition — all on our side. Typical timeline 2–3 weeks. Typical savings 28% annually. Payroll disruption: zero.
Independent Comparisons
+150 head-to-head reviews, direct A-vs-B comparisons, +50 "best of" rankings by use case, country, company size, and feature. Every score sourced from the same standardized audit — same questions, same weights, same scrutiny.
Contract Audits
Existing EOR contract? We'll review it for hidden FX markups, surprise setup fees, IP-ownership gaps, termination penalties, and misclassification exposure. One-time review. No ongoing fees.
The wall between editorial and revenue.
Our business model is simple and we'll explain it on this page rather than burying it in the footer.
Compareor is free for the company hiring. Some EOR providers pay us a referral fee when a company we matchmake actually signs with them. That fee comes from the provider's customer-acquisition budget — it does not increase your price.
Referral fees never influence rankings. The audit team that scores providers has no visibility into which providers have a referral relationship. We publish the same criticism whether a provider pays us or not.
Rankings refresh quarterly based on a standardized scoring rubric covering compliance, country coverage, pricing transparency, platform UX, and support. The full methodology is published..
No paid placements, no sponsored rankings. Affiliate disclosure published in full at affiliate-disclosure — read it before you decide whether to trust us.
Not owned by, funded by, or affiliated with any EOR provider. We have no investors who are EOR providers. We will lose ranking-eligible business before we will change a score we believe in.
How we rank EOR providers.
Every provider on the site is scored on five axes, weighted as follows. Each axis is scored 1–5 from a standardized rubric. The aggregate Compareor Score appears on every provider page.
Compliance & country coverage - 30%
Pricing & transparency - 25%
Platform & features - 20%
Customer support - 15%
Migration friction - 10%

Still have questions?
Ask our team and get clear, unbiased guidance tailored to your situation.
Is Compareor an EOR?
No. We're an independent advisor and broker. We don't employ anyone on your behalf. We help you pick — or escape — an actual EOR provider.
How do you make money?
Referral fees from a subset of EOR providers when our matchmaking results in a signup. The company hiring pays nothing. Full disclosure at /affiliate-disclosure.
How are the rankings updated?
Quarterly. We re-run every active provider through the audit rubric and republish scores. Mid-quarter, we update individual reviews when material news breaks — funding, acquisitions, compliance incidents, pricing changes.
Who writes the reviews?
Named editorial staff. Every review byline links to the author's bio on the site. Authors disclose any prior relationship with the provider they're scoring.
Can I get my company added as a provider?
Yes. Email contact@compareor.com with a link to your service and we'll add you to the audit queue. Inclusion is editorial — we audit on our schedule, not yours, and we publish what we find.
Do you take money to remove negative reviews?
No. Ever.
